There are a lot of negative reviews, but I've had nothing but a positive experience here.
I made an appointment for my 4 yr old and 6 yr old to complete their passport applications at this location. I took time off work and showed up with completed documents and pictures in hand. Upon check in I was told that there was a mistake and I had no appointment. Todd was unwilling to suggest solutions, sneak us in, schedule a new appointment or offer alternatives to help us in any way. He took no responsibility for the error and he creepily seemed to enjoy the anxiety this misunderstanding created for my family.
The woman behind the counter was friendly and efficient. Weird hours though, especially on Saturday.
Please avoid at all costs. I have never had to deal with a worse mail service. Such rude service. It make me sad for anyone who has come across this post office. The post master is rude and demeans customers. The other staff looks like robots...im sure it's because they are scared to work for her. Take all these negative reviews seriously...too bad the government can't come in and help them out.
Given all this, the staff do the best they can.
Multiple Bad experiences. Everytime UPS transfers to USPS they lose the package or is super late. Standard bad attitude you'd find at the DMV. USPS, Shut this one down and sell the land for profit.
The USPS has been intentionally stunted and defunded by both political parties and as such most Post Offices can't fund a full front staff. If the Bush-era law about fully funding retirement liabilities, an active act of sabotage against the USPS, we would have more staff and better customer experience like we used to.
STAY AWAY! My experience felt like a time-warp to 1910 and Todd was the Czar of the Hamel USPS who enjoys his reign of terror.
